RED OAK SOFTWARE INTRODUCES WORLD'S FIRST TRULY OPEN WEB APPLICATION INTEGRATION SOLUTION
Mountain Lakes, NJ, April 20, 2001 - Red Oak Software has released Web Integrator to general availability. Web Integrator's 100% Java technology enables any production Intranet, Internet or other browser-enabled client server application to be programmatically accessed and integrated with any other application in the enterprise.
Web Integrator employs the same architectural philosophy as all other Red Oak products. It is designed to provide programmatic integration at the end user access point, making it totally non-invasive, allowing it to be implemented locally or remotely over a network, and utilizing all of the security, protection and authorization of the application hosting environment.
Web Integrator consists of three components: a Software Development Kit, with an embedded Java browser that records web application integration sessions and converts them to Java beans; a server-based Runtime API that can be used to modify and customize the generated Java code; and Adapters that enable seamless programmatic access to any of the major Web Services messaging systems.
"Capitalizing on our experience with Legacy Integrator and Stingray, Web Integrator is the breakthrough inclusion solution for any browser-based application. It enables the functions of any HTML application to be captured and automatically generated as Java beans, with the resulting output generated in any standard XML format." said Red Oak chief executive officer George Cummings.
"Legacy and Web application integration are now dramatically simplified through a combined technology, with customer results showing reductions up to 50% in the overall effort and timeline of a typical integration project. Web Integrator is an innovative and unique solution that provides the missing link in bringing the promise of full programmatic application integration to fruition."
Red Oak's Transaction Integration™ products allow all 390, AS/400, Digital, Unix and HTML-based application interactions to be seamlessly integrated with any of the major EAI messaging systems, from vendors such as IBM, webMethods, and TIBCO. They also provide fast, efficient programmatic connectivity to Application Server solutions, from vendors such as BEA, IBM, Oracle and Sun, and any of the major enterprise systems, including Siebel, Peoplesoft and SAP.
Red Oak is privately held. It was financed through venture capital from Opticality Ventures of New York and private investment. They specialize in Transaction Integration, by which access to any application logic and data is developed automatically into business objects, regardless of the programming language or database structure of the legacy application. The company is headquartered in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, with corporate offices in Rochester and Charlotte.
