RED OAK ANNOUNCES DUAL INTEGRATION SUPPORT FOR SIEBEL 7
October 3, 2001 - MOUNTAIN LAKES, NJ -- (BUSINESS WIRE) --, Red Oak Software, Inc., a leading provider of legacy
extension and integration solutions, announces dual integration support for Siebel 7, the seventh major release of Siebel
eBusiness Applications from Siebel Systems Inc., (Nasdaq: SEBL), the world's leading provider of eBusiness applications
software.
Red Oak's Legacy Integrator and Web Integrator products provide organizations installing Siebel 7 with dual eBusiness
solutions that increase productivity, maximize revenue and profit, and significantly enhance customer acquisition,
satisfaction, and retention.
Siebel Systems enables software vendors to easily integrate solutions through its open, extensible, advanced Smart Web
Architecture. Unlike rudimentary HTML clients, Siebel Smart Web Architecture combines a zero-footprint, browser-based Web
client and a user interface with levels of interactivity and usability traditionally available only in Windows applications.
The Siebel Smart Web Architecture enables organizations to leverage the industry's best eBusiness applications at the lowest
total cost of ownership.
Siebel 7 extends the reach and functionality of Siebel Systems' industry-leading suite of integrated, multichannel
eBusiness applications, enabling organizations to translate customer relationship strategies into execution by effectively
aligning and rapidly integrating channels, employees and partners. Siebel 7 allows organizations to manage, synchronize and
coordinate all customer touch points across the Web, call center, field sales and service personnel, and partner channels.
Legacy Integrator provides seamless, real-time integration between mainframe, midrange, DEC VAX and other legacy systems,
and Siebel eBusiness Applications. Red Oak has a number of joint worldwide customers with Siebel, and its highest customer
satisfaction in projects requiring legacy integration with Siebel eBusiness Applications. The Legacy Integrator product was
integrated with Siebel eBusiness Applications, versions 5 and 6, through several of the major EAI vendor systems.
In support of front end integration needs, Web Integrator provides programmatic, real-time integration through the Smart
Web Architecture interface to Siebel 7. By capturing the increased usability of the browser interface, all Siebel 7
functions can be driven programmatically, enabling the only dual interface available in the industry.
"Siebel 7 delivers not only a comprehensive eBusiness vision, but also tremendous value to enterprise organizations that
wish to significantly enhance their competitive advantage in the marketplace." states Red Oak VP - Product Strategy,
Ken Dugan. "Siebel Systems holds a deep understanding of industry-specific business processes and a genuine ability to
provide reduced total cost of ownership, accelerated time to return on investment, and reduced deployment risks."
Siebel 7 is the next step in the evolution of mission-critical eBusiness applications. Working with the Siebel 7
solution, Legacy Integrator enhances the access between Siebel 7 and the core legacy applications that handle the vast
majority of an organizationís transactional processing. Web Integrator is the only solution on the market to
programmatically drive Siebel 7, through its exceptional browser user interface. By providing two bridges to close the gap
between old and new, either combined solution enables these organizations to easily respond to market changes in today's
fast-moving economy and dramatically reduce the costs associated with acquiring, servicing, and supporting customers.
